With Valentine’s Day this month my thoughts turn to love, romance, and a royal wedding. Yes it really is less than three months before Prince William marries his long-time girlfriend Kate Middleton. And while I can’t describe myself as a monarchist, I grew up in a household where the Royal Family was a constant source of interest and discussion.
And I guess the interest was contagious. My mother and I got up at 5:00 am to watch the coverage of the wedding ceremony that saw Prince Charles marry Lady Diana Spencer and then when we were exhausted by the day long coverage we tuned in for the recaps on the nightly news.
Thirty years later, news coverage for this event is expected to be unprecedented and promises to give us every detail on the wedding ceremony, the guests, the reception, and of course, the dress. But for those of us who need more, MUCH more detail, about the royal couple these titles will make sure we’re all up to speed on the royal couple and their families before the big day.

And if that isn’t enough then a trip to PEI in July might just be in order.

I just received a copy of William and Kate from Simon and Schuster! Beautiful photography in the centerfold makes it even more enticing. I'm looking forward to reading this book. How I'd love to go to PEI for their visit!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! Just enough Monarchy to keep Maritimers happy.
